Introduction: Have you ever argued with friends and or family if rabbits and hares are the same thing? Well the answer to your question is not that they are very different they look alike but they have different features and actions to show which they actually are.
To start off rabbits
In general, rabbits are smaller and have shorter ears than hares. They are born without fur and with closed eyes after they are born. They prefer habitats composed of trees and shrubs, where they live in burrows dug into the soil. Rabbits are ground dwellers that live in environments ranging from desert to tropical forest and wetland. And they act as great pets.
Now for the Hares
In general, hares have longer ears and longer hind feet than rabbits. While the tail is relatively short, it is longer than that of rabbits. Although usually gray-brown throughout the year, hares living in northern latitudes may turn white in the winter time. Young hares are typically born fully furred and with their eyes open and are able to hop a few minutes after birth. Throughout their range, hares are important in the diets of various carnivorous birds, mammals, and reptiles. They are more met to be in the wild.
In my opinion i think they are both great animals can can be very confusing if they are the same thing but they are actually very different from each other hares are met to be in the wild and rabbits are better to be pets.
In Conclusion: They look like they act very differently and are made for two different types of living styles.
