Yeat is an artist known for his style of rap. He is one of the better rappers in my opinion, which is why I’m doing a story on him. Not many people like him, but in my opinion, he’s one of the best out there. The majority of his songs have some of the best beats that you’ll ever hear, making his music fantastic to listen to in general. Yeat has made a variety of albums, but some of his newest are different because he actually says the words clearly.
Once Yeat began to pursue his rapping career, he released his first mix-tape in late 2018. This mix-tape was labeled “Deep Blue Strips.” While he wasn’t entirely popular in the beginning, he struck popularity by 2021! Not only did he get more attention on his music, but he began getting more attention on his social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram. This sudden fame is what initiated his massive fame and upbringing.
His newest album “Lyfestyle”, has a majority of new songs and the album cover is a house on fire with horses running around and destroyed cars. This album reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 200, which marked his very first #1 album of his career! His best song from the album for me is probably “Geek Time” which I love because it has great flow and good lyrics. It consists of some really good songs, but nowhere near his best songs.
The best album he came out with is “2093.” Many people started to listen to him because of this album. Not only that, but a majority of edits on any social media app with a Yeat song is usually from “2093.” His best songs from it are “Breathe”, “If we Being Real”, “Psycho Ceo”, “U should know”, etc. . When it came out, it was one of the best times of the year which made it so much better and more enjoyable.
There are many songs he plans to come out with or hasn’t even been released to the public whatsoever! In an interview, he revealed that his computer has around, if not more, than 16,000 songs on his computer that are unreleased! While Yeat may seem like a very nonchalant and careless rapper, he is incredibly more calculated and put together than he seems.
While Yeat may not be for everyone, as not everyone cares much for rap music, I genuinely think it’s worth your time to give it a shot and see what you think. There are many of his songs that are better than others, so if you don’t like one, try another few! It may just take time to find one that really vibes with you. Enjoy and thank you for reading!
