Have you just found yourself a new date? If so, congratulations! If not, don’t feel bad, because there is always something to be done to fill that void! Today, you will learn about ways to have fun either by yourself or with a partner or group of friends on Valentine’s Day! Let’s go ahead and get started!
1. Have a Party With Your Friends!
Speaking from experience, nothing is better than having people who are always there for you at your side, especially on Valentine’s Day. Not to mention, there is a variety of activities for you to consider when you are with these people, like watching movies, baking, playing board games or video games, and even a classic game of truth or dare if it comes down to it.
2. Make Gift Baskets for Your Loved Ones.
The great thing about gift baskets is that they are quick and easy to make if done right. For example, you COULD go out and buy all sorts of expensive stuff for your person, or you could go to Dollar General or Five Below and still get them some pretty neat stuff. Here are some of the best things to put in a gift basket:
- Blanket
- Stuffed animal\plush
- Chocolate (obviously)
- Makeup products
- Scented perfumes, cologne, or lotions
- Jewelry
3. Go on Cute Dates.
What is one thing that almost all couples are guaranteed to do? Go on dates. On Valentine’s Day, this doesn’t change, but if the day is special, the date should be too. Don’t get me wrong, nobody should be going on super expensive dates in high school. Nonetheless, there is still room for creativity. Instead of just McDonalds, how about McDonalds and a movie? How about a trip to the arcade? The bowling alley? A concert? Take notes, people.
4. Make Valentines for the Ones you Love.
Valentines are easy to make and affordable too. Just grab some scissors, paper, and markers and you’re good to go. One of my favorite things to do is go to the internet for inspiration. There is no wrong way to make a Valentine. Just make it somewhat nice to look at and remember that puns can still be funny. Especially whenever they are written on cards.
5. Go to the Sadie Hawkins Dance!
While school dances can be awkward for people at times, I highly encourage you to give Sadie’s a try and see how you like it. Participate in voting for court, have fun at the assembly, and invite some people to go with you. Even if it’s just something to do on a Saturday night, you will most certainly have fun and maybe even have some memories to take with you from your high school years as you get older.
