Have you ever been bored at home and wish you were playing video games instead? Not everyone has a personal computer at their house, but they open up so many more opportunities to connect through gaming on games that aren’t available on a phone or console. Look no further than Gladiator Games on the Missouri Boulevard.
At 2208 Missouri Blvd Ste 101, right next to Pancheros and Panera Bread, Gladiator Games sits quietly. Inside are rows of gaming computers, board games, and even a couple virtual reality headsets, all ready to use. Once you create an account in the store, you have access to a whole library of games and apps. Each of these games have free licenses that you can use whenever you want. The virtual reality consoles also have a host of games on them, and they are just as free as all the other games there. For the low price of ten dollars per hour, or twenty dollars for four hours, you can use any equipment they have there.
There’s another special thing about this place; the weekly events. Every Thursday, from 6pm to 10pm, you can enter the Super Smash Bros. tournament for ten dollars, with a chance to win the pot. Earlier in the week, they hold MMO Mondays, where a good majority of the community who play massive multiplayer online games gather to tackle big events or just stay on the grind.
They are open from 10am to 10 pm through the week and close at 6pm on Sundays. If that time limit isn’t your style, you’re in luck. On Friday and Saturday nights, with a group of at least five or more, you can sign up to spend the whole night until 8am in the building with your friends for fifty dollars per person. That price may sound steep, but if you consider that if you spent that much money per person, you’d only get around five hours, as compared to the ten you get from an all nighter, it becomes more apparent this is a deal that cannot be beat.
