As the day comes closer to school being out, juniors will become seniors, sophomores will become juniors and freshmen become sophomores; Everyone is excited for summer to come. But if you have no idea what to do during the summer, I got you. Here are what I hope are some fun things to do in the summer with your friends or your family. And if your doing summer school, don’t worry you can do these things after its over.

1) One of the main things you can do during the summer is take a little trip to the Lake of the Ozarks. Visitors can enjoy swimming, boating, rafting, hiking, biking, camping, and more. There are fireworks in the summer. If you’re looking for a good time, visit the Lake of the Ozarks. You can hop in for a quick swim; you can rent a lakeside cabin for the entire summer.

2) The second thing you can do is visit a waterpark or a pool. Lucky for you, Memorial Park has both of those, and its a great place to spend during summertime. You can even rent out the whole pool for those summer birthdays and have fun with the whole squad. this is a good alternative if your not looking for a lot of excitement and just something little to do.

3) For my next option, consider an amusement park! Six Flags is one of the most popular ones out there and if you don’t feel like riding the rides. They have a water park next door if you want to get on some slides or tan. They also have rides for the little siblings. This is a good place to go with the family to have fun.
4) The Gateway Arch is one of the coolest things you can do in in Missouri, and you can ride all the way to the top and see the observation deck, and gaze out at the marvelous scenery below, including parks, bridges, buildings and the Mississippi River. You can also take a helicopter ride to see the nice view of the city.

5) And Lastly you can take a visit to Shepherd of the Hills Adventure Park. The year-round attractions at the park are the outdoor activities. There’s a zipline and a rope course; there’s an area for off-roading in an ATV; there’s an observation deck with incredible views at the top. You can also take in historical re-enactments at the old-fashioned villages or musical performances and puppet shows at the theater. You can even ride the Copperhead Mountain Coaster.

Now that you have some fun ideas to do during the summer you also have to be cautious of this heat stay hydrated and most importantly use that sunscreen. Have a nice summer CCHS Cavs!
