On Friday, September 27th, there was a football game against Jefferson City High School, and the game went incredibly well for Capital City’s football team!

First Quarter:

Capital City had a great start to the game, making 2 touchdowns in the first quarter of the game. There was lots of action to keep the crowd on their toes, rooting for our team! Jefferson City managed to make a a touchdown as well, but we were still able to stay in first!

Second Quarter:

After a couple minutes into the second quarter, CC managed to make another touchdown and gain some strong points for our school. 3 minutes left in the second quarter, another touchdown was scored. JC could not manage to get past our football team’s defense, giving us the upper hand to score!

Exactly 5 seconds before the end of the second quarter, another touchdown was made by the CC Football team, bringing our score up to a whopping 35!

Halftime Show:

For the first performance, the CCHS Dance Team paired up with the JCHS Dance Team, performing to a large mix of songs including “Disco Inferno” by 50 Cent, “Get Busy” by Sean Paul, “My, My Back” By Khia, “This is How We Do It” by Montell Jordan, “Pump It Up” by Joe Budden, “The Next Episode” by Dr. Dre, and “Yeah” by Usher.

The CCHS Band and Color Guard came up next and performed what they called “Whispers in the Dark.”

Third Quarter:

Another touchdown was made quickly into the 3rd quarter, raising our score to 42! Not a whole lot happened through the rest of the 3rd quarter, leaving us on top!

Fourth Quarter:

At the start of the final quarter, a swift touchdown was made! For the rest of the game, the scores remained the same, with JC failing to make anymore scores.

After the end of the game, students and the football team gathered together in a big group to chant our school fight song for our victory!
