On Wednesday, January 6th, CCHS gained a new club for students to join. The Gardening Club held its first meeting after school to discuss the basics of what they want to accomplish. Members brainstormed and provided ideas to add to the future agenda of the Gardening Club.

The club is sponsored by CCHS English teacher, Ms. Kiehl after Freshman, C.J. Stone was disappointed to hear that Capital City lacked a gardening club and approached her to sponsor the club.

Students in attendance had high hopes for the future of what could come of the Gardening Club. Many were hoping to do some fundraising so the club could potentially begin gardening in the spring. “I think something cool that the club could do is plant a garden at CCHS for all students to enjoy,” stated Chloe Hughey, Junior, attending the first meeting.

The next meeting will be in room 108 on Wednesday, January 20th, from 3:45 – 4:10. The meeting is open to any students wishing to attend.
