It’s football season of the 2025-2026 school year, which means it’s Game On for the CCHS football team. So far it’s been a pretty good season and the Cap City and Helias face off was no exception. Capital City had a record of 3-2 going into an undefeated 5-0 Helias.

A student conducted an interview with coach Collier a few days prior to the game. Coach Collier stated during the interview that “He believes we are well-prepared for the game against Helias. We have studied film and practiced to defend their offensive scheme. We as a team need to go into the game with high energy, we need to be well disciplined and we need every player to step up any way they can. Helias is a well coached team with very disciplined players, we have prepared for this game all year, I believe we are ready to defeat them.”
The game kicked off at seven o’clock, Helias got the opening kickoff and the first score of the game. Helias continued to play strong offense and defense throughout the whole game. Capital City struck back with a passing touchdown. After that Capital City was held to no points the rest of the game. The game ended in a 35-7 score in favor of Helias. This win for Helias help

Capital City’s next game will be against Smith Cotten who has a current record of 4-2. The game will be held at Capital City, at seven o’clock. This will be another very electric game that the whole city will be attending. Make sure you come out and support the Cavs Friday the 10th kickoff starts at 7 P.M.
