The Met Gala is an annual fundraiser for the costume institute. It’s a place where designers, celebrities, and stars gather together to flaunt the creative ideas that display across their bodies. Each design is well thought out and costumed to fit not only the celebrities’ body but their creativity.

This past Monday, on September 13, the 2021 Met Ball was held in New York City. The theme was “In America”. To say the least, the outfits could be described as interesting. Okay–let’s be honest, it was definitely not my favorite, and Kanye definitely forced Kim to wear that outfit…but overall, there were pros but also lots of cons. Another point, we just need to collectively ban black suits because the number of people wearing a basic black suit was astronomical. Also, #bringbackKylie! I was so desperately waiting to see her this year but she was nowhere to be seen. She couldn’t hold off on being pregnant for a few more months? Like, come on–just kidding! I’m very happy for her! Okay, but back to the point. Here is my well-thought-out rankings of this year’s celebrity Met Gala fits.

God Tier: Iman, Kendall Jenner, Barbie Ferreira, Lili Reinhart.

Obsessed: Lil Nas X, Grimes, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Rosé.

Average: Rihanna, Meghan Fox, Gigi Hadid, Megan Thee Stallion, Emma Chamberlain, Saweetie, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Not my favorite: Kim Kardashian, ASAP Rocky, Timothee Chaleme, J-Lo, Frank Ocean, Ciara.
