For as long as the pandemic has been happening, supply shortages have occurred. There are many reasons that there are supply shortages, but predominantly it is because of a disruption of supply chains and transportation of goods.

Semi-trucks transport a majority of goods around the country, and states that utilize ports most, California for example, are finding that trucks can’t enter California because of emissions. Only trucks that fall within the required emissions is limited. States like Florida and New York, and especially Alaska are having similar problems.

But the problem doesn’t just stop at semi-trucks. Other modes of transportation, such as planes and ships face issues with rising gasoline prices and inflation of goods that are restricting people’s demand for particular products.
