There are many things wrong with the parking lot involving congestion and the time that it takes to get in or out of the school. We interviewed students from multiple grades to see what they think can be done about this persistent problem in the parking lot.

What is one way that they can help the congestion of the parking lot?
“They could make the parking l0t bigger.”

Should parking at school be free?
“Yes, you shouldn’t have to spend over $40 for just having your car outside.”

Should there be assigned parking?

“No, you should be able to park where you want to park based on your schedule and where you get out at.”

Should teacher’s parking be separate?

“Yes, so students and teachers don’t get mixed up in the parking lots and they don’t mess with teacher’s cars.”

What is one way that they can help the congestion of the parking lot?

“More exits out of the parking lots and more lots.”

Should parking at school be free?

“100 % it should be free because kids who get their license in the middle of the school year still have to pay full for parking. If you buy a parking pass every year from the sophomore year your pay like $120 just for parking.”

Should there be assigned parking?

“Assigned parking would be nice, but it doesn’t really matter if it is.”

Should teacher’s parking be separate?

“Yes, there’s already congestion in the parking lots, they don’t need teachers to be there when there’s already congestion.”

“They could release some people at different times.”

“There should not be assigned spots.”

“The parking at school should be free, because that’s a lot of money for the years.”

“There is no reason to separate the teachers from the students.”

“They could reduce the congestion by encouraging letting people out of the parking lot and letting kids out at different times for the different floors and more exits.”

Should there be assigned parking?

“There shouldn’t be assigned parking.”

“Parking should be free because you have to spend money on gas and you don’t even get to customize the spot.”

Should teacher’s parking be separate?

“Parking should be separate because they don’t have to have that unneeded conflict between students and teachers.”

“They could let people go and have two lanes to get out one per direction that they are going.”

“You should have to pay for the parking pass because they would need to repair the parking lot.”

Should there be assigned parking?

“We should if we do by spot and it should be on the parking pass.”

Should teacher’s parking be separate?

“We don’t need to have separate parking because that would need to make them walk around a bunch.”

What is one way that they can help the congestion of the parking lot?

“I feel like they should have like a volunteer or crossing guard to help people when they leave and direct traffic because kids aren’t very courteous.”

“Yes.”

“I don’t think it’s a bad idea but it might be difficult to have kids follow.”

Should teacher’s parking be separate?

“Yes, they take up student parking spots.”
