Feeling Down? Here are 5 tips to bring your spirits up!

Shawn Martin

Everyone feels down from time to time, from being stressed with life, work school, or maybe for no reason. So, here are 5 tips that can possibly bring your spirits up!

Talk about it

Getting your feelings off your chest might be a good way to cope. You can talk to a supporting person in your life that will listen and try to help you. It doesn’t even need to be a person, you might feel crazy but even talking to a pet could help, or writing your feelings down in a journal. The point is finding a way to let your feelings out instead of bottling them inside.

Find a distraction

Hang out with friends, go out for a walk, or drive. If you do something that will take your mind off of what is eating you up, chances are you will feel a little bit better.

Exercise

Exercise can actually increase dopamine levels. Dopamine is pretty well your reward system in your body, that why people feel happy when they eat because your body needs food. So go for a jog, hit the gym, do some jumping jacks, getting you blood pumping could set you in a better mood

Breathe

Personally when I’m having a bad day, I like to close my eyes and just breathe.

Accept it

Like I said everyone feels down from time to time, so don’t fight the feeling.
