Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Some of the more popular breakfast foods are carb-based, and these options are meant to give you that little energy boost for early morning activities such as school or work. I’m a breakfast fan, so here are my top 3 breakfast items:

  1. Cereal: always a top tier food choice as it tastes good and has as much variety as possible. My personal favorite is probably any cereal with marshmallows in it, but there are more healthy options like whole grain Cheerios or Fiber One. Each give you the energy you need to start your day!
  2. Doughnuts: Talk about a classic. Doughnuts also have a ton of variety in how they taste and what’s in them like a jelly-filled doughnut, or an apple fritter. Though there are fewer healthy options they are filling and will give you that boost.
  3. Oatmeal: This is one of the oldest choices on this list dating back to 7000 BC and is considered an incredibly healthy breakfast item with a lot of variety. Whether it be any fruit or just plain, the options in types of oatmeal you eat are limitless.
