Dunn Brothers Coffee is a very popular coffee shop on Edgewood near Missouri Credit Union and is my number 1 coffee shop in town.
Dunn Brothers opened in 1987 in St. Paul, Minnesota as a simple coffee shop, which has expanded to much of the American midwest. They have several locations in Missouri, North and South Dakota, Texas, and Wisconsin. Dunn Brothers is a franchise officially owned by Gala Capital Partners LLC. A franchise is a very popular business model where a corporation hands out licenses to other people to start a store that the corporation owns. Usually, after a set of conditions have been met, the owner is in charge of personally managing the stores he/she opens.
The Menu
Dunn Brothers’ menu is very diverse, having many types of drinks ranging from normal black coffee, americanos, nirvana, several teas, and more. My personal favorites are a hot mocha nitro caramel and banana. There are also seasonal drinks, such as pumpkin pie lattes during the fall time, and Candy Cane Mochas during winter time. On their menu, there are many morning food options such as breakfast sandwiches and pastries. My personal favorite is the muffins, which are huge! (Make sure to try the blueberry.) The breakfast sandwiches come with a lot of customization with my favorite being the sausage egg and cheese breakfast burrito. they also sell coffee beans that you can brew at home
The service/atmosphere
The service at Dunn Brothers has always been outstanding. I’ve been going there for years, and have yet to experience any bad service! The baristas are always pleasant and patient, the prices are very reasonable (much cheaper than Starbucks or scooters), and tastes better too! The coffee never tastes old and the food is always nice and fresh. The atmosphere is very pleasing with warm lights all around giving a calming atmosphere. There is a fireplace with very comfy chairs and pictures on the wall. Dunn Brothers is a great place to start a relaxed morning with friends or to take that special someone on a nice breakfast date.
