The Persona franchise is a JRPG franchise with a rather interesting premise, being set within two different styles of gameplay rather than being just one straight combat experience, as it takes place in two different sections, that I will refer to simply as Daytime and Nighttime segments. Daytime segments are moments of straightforward daily life, where you increase your stats, shop for gear for your party, gather up and fuse the various personas that you gain from the nighttime segments, and increase relationships with your confidants, who give you and your party special buffs and passive abilities to aid you in both daytime and nighttime segments. Nighttime segments, however, are vastly different from the Daytime, as they can be entered in from any point rather than being forced, a goal in the Nighttime segment is mandatory to avoid a game over usually, each game possessing very different, yet equally punishing game overs as punishment for failing to meet the deadline. For Persona 3, the deadline for your Nighttime task is when the full moon comes around. Now with this synopsis out of the way, let’s get into the actual content for this week!
Persona 3 Reload has been revealed, with many different trailers and teasers to boot! This remake has been in the making since early 2022, though Atlus Studios decided to pull a power move and sneak into The Game Awards of that same year, leaving many gamers and fans of the franchise with a single clip of gameplay without so much as a word on what it was exactly before going into silence for the rest of the year, leaving gamers to speculate about what it meant. And now we go into 2023, and Atlus Studios released not only a complete trailer of the game but also a release date. This left many gamers excited, though some were not fans of the updated graphics.
Now entering 2024, the year of the release of this game, many are hoping the game will be as good as the teasers and trailers revealed, with expectations sky high to match what we’ve been shown, and Atlus Studios continues their work, many hope that the next project that this studio produces will leave players shocked, and in all the best ways. Now I turn to you, the reader, and ask whether or not you will buy the game, and if so, I encourage you to have fun.
