As Disney has continued their film making over time they have progressed and hit lots of milestones in their production. But is Disney getting carried away? Movies like Avatar, Toy Story, Zootopia, Frozen, Avatar, and the Aventures aka all of the “loveable classics” are undergoing and shifting from the spotlight to a new comfort in the shadows.
Disney films and production go through so much money and different stresses making these sequels as they come up with many new things and plots to add to the production process.
My opinion on the new sequels coming out is on the fence completely because it gets boring sometimes to watch movies and they have the same plot over and over. But at the same time some of these movies are so enjoyable they make you so intrigued for the sequels and it lives up to all the expectations in every way. To me when movies get super popular and everyone starts to love them you should let them stay a little longer like over some years then come out with new versions. A perfect example of this is when Inside Out 2 came out Disney did an amazing job the plot grew up as the audience did and it covered so many things that they traditionally don’t talk about in kids films. They also still kept a great deal of the older audience when the first one came out. So it truly all depends on how the sequels relates to the original and the popularity of the OG.
CAV Opinions:
I went around to 5 different classes asking both students and teachers about there’s feelings on the new additions being made to Disney. 24 students and 3 teachers claimed they were for the new sequels to bring new blood into Disney and to see new and more interesting plots in the films. 13 students and 2 teachers said they were against the new additions because Disney is only trying to make a profit and it ruins the originals. These are both good points that you yourself could attest to but comment down below and let us know what you think about the OG’s falling into the shadows.
