Christmas is coming soon, and there are a lot of Christmas movies, decorations, and clothes. But nothing gets you more excited than that songs for Christmas! When Christmas comes, songs for Christmas are always played everywhere. Even in Japan, a lot of English Christmas songs are listened to by people.

In this article, I am going to review some Christmas songs and compare them. I only knew the last one but my host mom taught me the rest of them. I’ve felt all of them as Christmas songs, but their atmosphere is totally different.

Feliz Navidad

I never listened to this song until my host mom told me. This song doesn’t have many words. He just repeats “Feliz Navidad” which means “Happy Christmas” in English and “I wanna wish you a Merry Christmas.” It is a pretty simple song, but I’m not sick of it.  And I found that it is because the melody is so pop and the rhythm changes in the English part from the Spanish part. Also the sound of Trumpet makes this song more cheerful.

But compared to the other Christmas songs, this song doesn’t evoke a type of atmosphere like other Christmas songs.

It’s The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

I never listened to this song either. The impression of it is that this song celebrates Christmas so much because you can hear some instruments sound in the background, and make the song gorgeous. I also like the sounds of a bell chime which is played in the middle of the song; By adding it, the song can express how special Christmas is.

However, the speed is kind of slow so especially for children, it might be boring.

All I Want for Christmas is You

I have liked this song since I was in Japan, and it is very popular! When Christmas comes, the song is played everywhere. It associates us with Christmas from the beginning of the song because it starts with a bell chime. Lyrics are cute and the rhythm makes us excited. There is not only the original version. but also Justin Bieber version as well. We can enjoy some of the patterns of the songs.

However, some people don’t like this song because they are sick of it. No matter where they are, they hear the song, but I think this song is irreplaceable for Christmas!

When I compared them all, I found a song with a bell chime can express the atmosphere of Christmas.  Also a popular song all over the world has a pop melody and rhythm, making us excited is the best benefit of songs, and Christmas songs have a great power to make us happy.
