Background of Agnes Tachyon

Agnes Tachyon was foaled on April 13, 1998 by his Dam (Agnes Flora) and Sire (Sunday Silence), this makes him a half-brother of Silence

Suzuka by having the same father.

Races and Jockeys Featuring Agnes Tachyon!

Agnes Tachyon was only in 4 races during his entire career and only had one jockey during his career as well. The races that Agnes Tachyon had entered were his Debut race, Radio Tampa Hai Sansai Stakes, Yayoi Sho, and the Satsuki Sho. The only jockey that accompanied Agnes Tachyon during his 4 career races was Hiroshi Kawachi. Agnes Tachyon was also crowned with being called the “Phantom Triple Crown”, because he won 4 consecutive races before retiring at the age of 3.

Earnings and Early retirement of Agnes Tachyon

Unfortunately, Agnes Tachyon had to retire early because he was diagnosed with bowed tendon, which impacted his legs making him unable to run. He had attempted to make recovery efforts but the attempts didn’t work and he was unable to run in races. But, Agnes Tachyon managed to have a total earnings of ¥222,082,000 JPY (approximately $1,845,085 USD), in only 4 races.

What Happened to Agnes Tachyon After his Retirement?

After Agnes Tachyon retired in 2001 due to his bowed tendon (tendinitis), he became more popular and successful in the future. In 2008, Agnes Tachyon became the first domestic Japanese thoroughbred horse to be the JRA’s leading sire, which hasn’t happened since 1957! Unfortunately, on June 22, 2009, Agnes Tachyon unexpectedly passed away from acute heart failure at the age of 11.

Some Major impacts that Agnes Tachyon has blessed us with is his genetic legacy and sire line. Agnes Tachyon gained more popularity and fame because of the hit anime Umamusume: Pretty Derby. Lastly, Agnes Tachyon impacted us by being a “Phantom Triple Crown”, this is

when a horse wins all their races before retiring but also being more of a stealth like horse, quickly sneaking up on his opponents in his races. Now, Agnes Tachyon rests in both his digital memoriam and his real grave that still receives lots of care from a lot of his fans worldwide, may Agnes Tachyon rest well and forever dream of carrots, R.I.P, Agnes Tachyon.

Cayden J. Cowan (Vixen), a senior at Capital City High School, She does A+ tutoring for Mrs. Harkins. Her favorite subject in school is history, because of all the things that have happened around the world, she enjoys listening to Maretu, specifically his song called “The Taste of Cockroach”. Outside of school, she likes to play games and hangout with friends, one thing people don’t know about her is that she is Transfeminine, which means she went from being male, to female. She is proud of her friends for pushing through tough times and continuing to do an amazing job on their studies, the thing that inspires me most is my cat (Felix) because without him, I would probably be doing worse than better, I would like to visit Cat Island off the coast of Japan. After High School, Vixen would like to go learn culinary arts, and finally, her advice to other students is, “Don’t be afraid to ask your teachers for help, they’ll help you pass your classes whenever you need their help.”
