The TV show Boots is a fictional series based on the rigors that recruits go through at USMC Boot camp in Parris Island has been rated as 85%.
The show “BOOTS” is about a young recruit (Cameron Cope) who goes to Marine Corp basic training to gain the title “United States Marine”. The show boots highlight the most important parts of the four phases of Marine Corp Training. Theses include (Physical, Marksmen ship, Drill, and the Crucible).
Throughout the Series the Drill Instructors are depicted as being tough commandos who are there to intimidate and mentor the marine recruits. In real boot camp the standard is kept and shown when unlike the show the drill instructors give a rehearsed speech where they say what they will do and what they expect from recruits.
In the series “ BOOTS” Cameron Cope experiences several obstacles that will help change and grow the character or recruit. Throughout the Crucible Marines are put through simulations that will strengthen as a marine.
At the end of the three day crucible in the show “BOOTS” the recruits march back to Parris Island and are handed the Marine Corps Eagle, Globe, and Anchor and are then called Marines. And this is a scripted version of what actually happens to recruits when they are given the Marine Corps Emblem.
