Many classes throughout high school are considered difficult and meant to challenge a student, but can it become too much? Students question the load of work on their shoulders and that leads to statistics to prove their point. AP classes can be good, but students who take them must be able to balance their schedule and not get caught up in papers, it can be hard!
To answer the question, is it too much? According to collegeraptor.com “A lot of the “difficulty” depends on your strengths and interests. For instance, where biology might come easy to you, it might feel completely foreign to someone else.” So it depends on what a student chooses to take on.
Then when you get to thinking ,that puts the student in a bad spot if they didn’t know what they were getting into. It also leads into a whole other layer of challenges like trying to drop the class and not being able to, or the embarrassment a student could get if students are mean about them dropping the class. Many students don’t want to go through that so they give up or continue to struggle through the class.
When it comes to picking classes, pick carefully , know what you are getting yourself into. It is also good to think of ways to balance your schedule and make time for all the work in those more difficult classes.
