Lizzy Bennett – Played Allie Schenewerk

What is your favorite part about your role?

“I relate a lot to Lizzy and look up to her as a character. I love getting to be a more confident and clever version of myself when I’m onstage. Also, I am obsessed with the pretty dresses and balls and regency era vibes, it’s literally everything I’ve ever wanted.”

What adversities have you overcome throughout Pride and Prejudice?

“I’m learning how to be in the moment, connect with the characters, and trust myself and the people around me. My strength when it comes to acting is having a good memory and practicing exactly what inflection I’m going to say my lines with, but being that rehearsed makes it really hard to have good chemistry with other people (especially when you’re playing the protagonist of one of the greatest love stories ever). If I had a nickel for every time Mrs. LeCure told me to get out of my head and stop trying so hard, I’d be a millionaire.”

What has been your happiest memory from working on Pride and Prejudice?

“Watching everything come together, from trying on our dresses and learning our dances for the first time, to building the sets, to watching Holley KILL IT as Lizzy for the first really good run. Hearing Mrs. LeCure laugh at the same scene that she’s seen every single day for like, two months, or when everyone cheers after we finish the show, makes my heart so darn happy.”

Mr. Darcy – Played By Christian Garza

What is your favorite part about your role?

Getting to embody a certain part of an antisocial and black cat energy”

Some words are very hard to enunciate or just plain say but throughout pride and prejudice it has really helped me with those specific things.”

What has been your happiest memory from working on Pride and Prejudice?

Mr. Bingley – Played By Sam Bates

What is your favorite part about your role?

“Bingley is a new type of character for me to be playing, and he’s so sweet an energetic and one of my all time favorite characters to be playing.”

What adversities have you overcome throughout Pride and Prejudice?

We all have had to overcome the fact that we have such a large cast and all around just how different if a play this is compared to what we’re used to, especially the newbies.”

Lydia Bennett – Played by Sara Ogden

What is your favorite part about your role?

“I really enjoy playing such an energetic and optimistic character, it makes it very easy to show up with the right attitude.”

What adversities have you overcome throughout Pride and Prejudice?

“I really struggled with bringing the right energy to Lydia at the beginning. But with coaching from our director LeCure, I believe I am able to better portray her character.”

What has been your happiest memory from working on Pride and Prejudice?

“Knowing that this is my last show with so many people that I consider family, has really helped me cherish every moment, but I love spending time with all of my castmates and crew outside of rehearsal.”

Mary Bennet – Played By Emma Richardson

What is your favorite part about your role?

“Mary has absolute extremes that I find hilarious to carry out.”

What adversities have you overcome throughout Pride and Prejudice?

“I’ve had to come to terms with the hair loss I’ll be enduring for the show. 5 minutes of teasing and 2 lbs of hairspray aren’t exactly easy on the scalp.”

What has been your happiest memory from working on Pride and Prejudice?

“Hearing laughs from the audience when I do something ridiculous; collapsing on the floor and being dragged off, for example.”

Mrs. Bennet – Played By Abigail Farris

What is your favorite part about your role?

“I love how she is loud and out going and that I get to explore that kind of role more.”

What adversities have you overcome throughout Pride and Prejudice?

“Throughout pride and prejudice I think as a cast we have had to over come having this many people in the show (it’s a lot) and with a lot of our cast going to international thespian convention and trying to focus on two projects at once, all of us who went to convention had to really focus in on p&p after we got back so we could put on a quality show. “

What has been your happiest memory from working on Pride and Prejudice?

“One of my happiest memories was when Amari (playing Charlotte) and I had to make the wax seals for the letter on work day. We went to her house to get the wax for the seals but when we got back to Miller we realized we had forgotten the little heating dish thing and after struggling for a while we found a large spoon and could finally make the stupid seals.(we took like three hours to make these)”

“The way I can make people laugh, even when they’re trying not to.”

What adversities have you overcome throughout Pride and Prejudice?

“I don’t want to over share, but it’s been quite a month of personal, school, social, medical, and now, even financial difficulties. It’s almost felt like I was being targeted by the universe, but I’m getting through it, and I know it’ll all turn out okay.”

What has been your happiest memory from working on Pride and Prejudice?

“I have defintely struggled with being insecure about my acting. Compared to everyone else on stage I have less experience but learning and taking advice from my co-actors has helped me tremendously.”

What has been your happiest memory from working on Pride and Prejudice?

My favorite memory has been the collection of back stage shenigans”

Charlotte Lucas – Played By Amari Herndon-Goodman

What is your favorite part about your role?

“My favorite part about playing Charlotte is a calm in the storm that is everyone else’s characters. If everyone was just screaming all the time, a play wouldn’t be funny. In order to have the funny moments, it’s critical to have those stable characters in order to frame the scene. Whether it’s Lizzie’s panic or Mr. Collin’s manic-ness, you can trust that she will be able to pull the crowd back together and help create those memorable, funny scenes. “

What adversities have you overcome throughout Pride and Prejudice?

“It’s easy to get swept away in the goofiness of this show, which makes it difficult to keep a level head at times. Pride and Prejudice taught me a great deal about the happy medium: being entertaining without being explosively obnoxious.”

What has been your happiest memory from working on Pride and Prejudice?

“My favorite memory is an ongoing one. It’s the symbols that the cast and crew of P&P wear with them between shows and rehearsals. The quoting of lines in the hallways, the humming of the dances, and the crispy hair after too much hairspray (sorry Christian) will always remain a representation of the impact this show has had on us. It’s something I cherish and will look forward to long after the last show is done.”

What adversities have you overcome throughout Pride and Prejudice?

“An adversity I had to overcome was going straight into dress rehearsal while only running through Act 1 two days prior. I felt as though I was underprepared because I hadn’t done a full runthrough, and my lines were somewhat difficult to memorize. I felt nervous, but in the end, I ended up pulling it together and powering through.”

What has been your happiest memory from working on Pride and Prejudice?

“My happiest memory from working on Pride and Prejudice was when we were all at my house and we just hung out, ate good food, socialized, and especially when we tried to fit about half of us into my hot tub.
