Homecoming is around the Corner!

One of the most anticipated nights in Football.

Homecoming has arrived! This is a time for us students to enjoy ourselves and come together after a long hard first months and some weeks. Meet people you’ve never met, dance, take pics it’s all in fun. Trust you’re going to want to remember all of your moments in high school as they fly by. This homecoming at the capital city just like the others, is going to be doing various amount of fun student lead activities founded by student counsel. At CC there will be a themed week where you dress up the week of homecoming in many different styles in costumes according to the day. We will also be having a powderpuff game on the 4th of October where all of the junior and senior girls will get to show their true personalities and play some flag football. Then to kick everything off the day of homecoming there will be a huge homecoming parade for celebration, candy, and lots of fun to show our new clubs and sports support to our school so please join us. All of the previous and more little activities will be showcased on our school’s Instagram and smart boards in the cafeteria so stay tuned. Hope to see you there in your best decades attire on October 7th. Don’t forget to continue to vote on the hoco court it is really important to your fellow seniors class of 2023!

Jefferson City High School is also having a homecoming as some of you must know. They will be having a bone fire where they all come together and talk and chill and eat and provide other fun things for their students to do. JC will also be doing some of the same activities as us in Powderpuff and a homecoming parade. If your lame and would like to attend our rival school homecoming is it on the 21st of October and the theme is magic/enchanted.

Now we are moving up to the big dogs, the college homecomings. They seem to have a completely different meaning to some people, whereas they believe that it is a time for the alumni to come and celebrate the college they went to and celebrate the very difficult time they survived and the amazing time they had together with their other classmates, along with the great friends the made. While others believe it is strictly for the students attending college where they party and do things they couldn’t in high school. Students pull all-nighters and the whole week leading up to homecoming is a grade wreck along with the student’s sleep schedules. But don’t worry guys will get our time every year The parties will get crazier and bigger as time goes on.

Another homecoming that you going to really enjoy yourself and have true entertainment at is Lincoln homecoming they will be having a step show and a parade all students and the public can attend. Lincoln has a pretty good balance between alumni and celebrating the current students who attend Lincoln. Both parties end up having a world of fun. They are also well known and praised for their homecoming tailgate parties and the little activities they do. Also don’t forget to support their homecoming football game as well wish them lots of good luck! You will be welcomed with open arms to all the events held from the 1st through the 7th of October.

Now to speak on the Mizzou Tigers’ homecoming is October 21st. Which will be very similar to Lincoln but not nearly as important for the community or alumni. They revolve their homecoming around the students that currently attend Mizzou in celebration of the new lifestyle they have known and all the stresses they have overcome to get here. Now they get to enjoy the fun aspect of college. They will also partake in the same activities and sports games leading up to their homecoming date.
